Green Bean Casserole with Bacon

(I usually half this recipe.)

2 (16 oz) pkgs frozen, cut green beans
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
½ c milk
1 cup crispy, cooked bacon
1/8 t pepper
1 can French fried onions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together first five ingredients and ½ cup French fried onions and pour into a casserole dish. (At this point you can cover and refrigerate it to be cooked the next day.) Before baking, cover with remaining French fried onions and bake uncovered fro 30-40 minutes or until hot in center. (If prepared yesterday, make sure to allow it to sit out for at least an hour before baking. If you put a cold baking dish directly into a hot oven, the dish will break.)
